Harrison's Baptism

September 9, 2007

This will have to be a multi-post event since so many things happened surrounding this great event. Harrison had a Great Grandmother, Grandmother and new (step) Grandfather fly in from Utah as well as the local family (both from RI and New York).

To get this post going, take a look at the video that Harrison helped create for the "intermission" during his baptism.

And stay tuned for more pictures and video!

Harrison's Birthday Parties

Another several weeks of lots of fun for our family. First it was the celebration of Harrison's birthday. On his birthday was a nice cookout and presents with his Gramma Sarah-ann and Grampa Buddy and Aunt Sharon.

In between Harrison's real birthday and the party he was to have with his church and neighborhood friends we had our family reunion party down at Uncle Jack and Aunt Anni's Home. We also had the special treat of having Matthew, Jen, Abigail and Isabella stay at our home for the night!

And Finally - Harrison has his "All Boy" Birthday party with the boyz...

A party complete with fire and swimming and good cake and ice cream.

Not just any fire - how about a 5' tall fire?

And not just any swimming - tidal wave swimming...under a full moon!

With the first day of school just around the corner, this wraps up our Summer '07 experience!!

More Summer Fun

So much of the summer has been filled with lots of little summer trips. Thanks to the visits of some old friends from Florida and Ohio as well as living near family, we had lots of fun at the beaches, Boston and enjoying the great yard with trampoline and pool. Here are a few pictures of the fun!

I guess I should put a couple of Emily and Courtney's Dance Recital pictures that kicked off the summer fun.

Some fun with Jacob, Emily, Courtney and Dad at the Air Show in Quonset, RI.

A visit from the MacFarlane's --we need more pictures of them! Here's Courtney and Emma.

Courtney turned 5 and Jake 13 - on Friday the 13th!

Next a visit from our next door neighbors in Ohio - the Johnson's!

The 2 Emily's Dane, Harrison and Lucas

Here's the feeling you get when you come and visit the Denning's!

We can't forget Leah!

Then Tragedy hits!!! The swimming pool starts bubbling but not like a jacuzzi. Within hours the water is gone!!!.........thank goodness for family living close by

And there are more birthday's to celebrate - like Aunt (pronounced ont for those of you who need to get your New England accent going) Sharon's!

And a beautiful sunset that captures the color of Jane's flower garden...

Finally - some fun at the waves!

As if that weren't enough Harrison got to do his special "8 Year Old Adventure" with his Grandparents and Sharon to Washington, DC. With a special tour of the White House and Capital building!!

Then Jake and Dad went on a true hiking campout where they hiked in with everything on their back, and hiked the North Moat Mountain in North Conway, NH for 2 nights and 3 days. This also included a fishing adventure which turned out to be the biggest catch of the weekend!

Although I don't have a clue when this haircut occured this summer - Courtney gets a makeover!

Summer Fun!!

Here we are at the end of the summer and what a great summer it has been! We have enjoyed the beach, the mountains and lots of fun in between.

We started the full swing of summer with a family vacation to Acadia national park in Maine. Here are a few photo's for you to enjoy.

First is Harrison and Emily in the "Great Maine Lumberjack show." We got to see some great lumberjack competition skills like cross chopping, 2 person sawing, axe throwing, log rolling and tree climbing!

Next was 2 full days in the National Park. First at the beach and then up the "Beehive," a nearly vertical climb up the face of a rock cliff mountain. Be sure to check out the video (low quality for faster loading and playback...sorry)!

After a long day at the park we had to take in some minature golf! Mom and Dad both won free games for holes in one and so the kids watched on while we dueled on the green. Courtney even danced for us!!!

We finished off the vacation with a little water fun at a friends lake house. Check out some video of tubing and water skiing!
I will put another post up to tell you more about our fun filled summer!
